What is JoJo For Your BoBo?
JoJo was created in 1992 and popularized baggy, neon printed cotton pants. It advertised: “Bored with wearing ordinary blue jeans and t-shirts? Are you in need of something new, something bright, something wild? JoJo pit pants are different, comfortable, and stylish.” JoJo sponsored many top motocross racers: Jeff Emig, Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Carmichael and more. JoJo t-shirts and baggy pants were distributed nationwide through Tucker Rocky. After the baggy pant craze ran its course, the line was discontinued.
Now
JoJo was resurrected in January 2009 by JoJo founder’s teenage son. With a fresh vision and a dream of putting art onto clothes, JoJo’s began again to create new and different clothing concepts. Its young designers create fun, creative and original designs.
JoJo’s new creator, Dylan Davis, explained: “I had been discussing with my dad a desire to rebirth JoJo’s with new ideas. After breaking my arm in January 2009 while riding motocross and nothing to do, I decided to get started. It took about six months to produce the first line of tees. I didn’t know what I was doing, but I had art and wanted it on shirts! We began by giving good friends in motocross our product and doing some fun photo shoots.”
JoJo’s has surprised many for its young ownership and artists and has been well received.
Being young enables JoJo to easily relate and cater to today’s youth culture. JoJo’s is excited at the prospect of a bright future producing innovative clothing, striving to be fresher than its competition.
JoJo is the official clothing sponsor of the 2010 Rockstar Suzuki Amateur Motocross Team. JoJo also wants to pick up surfers, skaters, wake boarders and bands. There are plans to attend several top amateur motocross nations, Bamboozle West, Bamboozle East and other concerts this year.
JoJo currently consists of men and women’s tees, hoodies, and hats. Future expansion will include denim, shorts, and bathing suits. JoJo strives for excellence with all printing completed in America using water-based inks for a soft touch and tagless shirts for comfortable wear.
